Wine Club: Exploring the Wines of South Africa

If you love wine, we have you covered with our Wine Club. Taste wines from all over the world, have the chance to purchase wine at the end of the night for discounted prices, enjoy presentations from the experts, and meet members at one of the Club’s most popular event series. In our next session on Thursday, March 14th, we will be exploring the wines of South Africa.

The roots of the South African wine industry can be traced to explorations of The Dutch East India Company, which established a supply station in what is now Cape Town in 1659. A Dutch surgeon, Jan Van Riebeeck, was tasked with managing the station and planting vineyards to produce grapes and wine intended to ward off scurvy. Today, South Africa is known for its world-class wines and is the eighth largest wine-producing region in the world. Katherine Camera of Broadbent Selections will guide us on a journey by the glass through the stunning countryside of South Africa’s wine-producing regions.

The price is $38 and includes tastes as well as a cheese and charcuterie plate. The night will begin at 6:00 PM, with the tasting to begin at 6:30 PM sharp. Our Wine Club events are limited to 50 members so be sure to contact the front desk right away to RSVP.
