New York State Tasting with David Thu, Mar 11, 2021 — 6:00PM

Join Beverage Manager David for his very own wine tasting on March 11th at the Club!

David will focus on the wines of New York State, specifically Long Island and the Finger Lakes regions. While known for stunning dry and off-dry styled riesling, New York wineries are also producing wonderful wines from other international varieties including Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. New York State is in fact the third largest producer of wine in the United States, with Oregon placing fourth with regard to the volume of wine produced.

Offering a tasting focusing on the wine from this often overlooked part of our nation has been a long wish of Davids and he looks forward to putting together a memorable lineup of wines for our member’s enjoyment!

We have been lucky to have David as our Beverage Manager for over 15 years. David’s knowledge, passion and ability to craft almost any drink makes him an incredible asset to the Club family. The bulk of his wine experience comes from many years of experience tasting and discussing wines both here at the Club, and in his fifteen plus years in Chicago as a Bartender, Food and Beverage Manager, and Clubhouse Manager. David also holds a CSW (Certified Specialist of Wine) certification from the Society of Wine Educators.

Check-in is at 6:00 PM and the class will begin at 6:30 PM. Seating will be appropriately spaced and your wine and light hors d’oeuvres will be individually served to your table. Please call the front desk at 608-255-4861 to reserve your spot.
