January Wine Club: Rioja Thu, Jan 9, 2020 — 6:00PM
If you love the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon but the fruitiness of Grenache, then Tempranillo is the grape for you. Tempranillo is a big wine with high tannin that compliments any piece of rich meat. This grape is popularly grown around the world but its true homeland is on the Iberian Peninsula. The Rioja region in Spain is king when it comes to Tempranillo. Explore the wines of the Rioja region with Tom Loup of Vino Veritas. Tom has visited Rioja twice, and has some wonderful selections for us to enjoy.
Price is $35 per person for a single session, and $225 for the entire season, which includes the annual wine dinner on Thursday, April 9. All sessions begin at 6 PM, and take place on the second Thursday of each month.
