Bourbon Cocktail Class with David on Thursday, May 20th Thu, May 20, 2021 — 6:00PM
Is rosé not your thing? Not to worry, we have a bourbon whiskey class with our talented Beverage Manager David Ginocchio the very next week!
Our bourbon class on Thursday, May 20 will open with a brief history of bourbon whiskey. We’ll discuss the “Standards of Identity” that make bourbon unique, and the influence of both the mash bill and barrel aging on the finished product. Starting with a taste of strait bourbon whiskey, David will explain how to nose and taste it, followed by adding water to see how it opens. Once you become an “expert taster” you’ll have the chance to experience four cocktails featuring some of David’s favorite selections including a Bourbon Swizzle, Brown Derby, Boulevardier, and a Bar Drake Manhattan.
The cost for the class is $30 per person and includes an individual cheese and charcuterie plate, and recipes for you to take home to continue your bourbon skills! The Atrium will open at 6:00 PM and the presentation will begin at 6:30 PM. A cash bar will also be available in the Atrium before and after the presentation for you to stick around and catch up with your fellow members. To attend this class, please contact the front desk to reserve your spot, and if you plan to join us for dinner after be sure to reserve your table at that time as well.
