Update 3.20.2020: A Message from GM, Mary Gaffney-Ward
Yesterday I called a team meeting to check in with our managers to discuss how they were coping in this hard time. I am sharing this because every team member’s response was not about how they are doing but about what we can do for others. Each and every team member came to the meeting with positivity, determination, and ideas as they want to provide not only for our members but they also are worried about their fellow cooks, servers and staff and the importance of keeping the Club strong for them.
I must admit, I walked into that meeting with heavy shoulders as this is something we have never faced. But I am grateful to report, I left our meeting feeling stronger than ever. The amount of support the Club has received from both our internal team and our members is something truly incredible. We are in this together and while it is not easy, we are driven by your support because you are the reason we love what we do and you are the ones keeping us strong right now.
One of the ideas we discussed actually came from our longest standing member who is 101 year old. She called and asked if we could deliver some meals to her neighbors in addition to her meal. We understand how important support is in this time which is why we are offering our members the ability to purchase takeout meals for their friends, family and neighbors. There are so many people in our lives that are affected by COVID-19. New parents, that elderly neighbor down the street, your parents, your friend with young kids…. The curbside pickup has been going great but we will do our best to deliver to that special someone’s home so just ask and we will do what we can.
To place your orders, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the front desk at 608.255.4861 between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM the day prior to pick up or delivery. Our staff will work with you to confirm your order and delivery accommodations. All orders will be available for pick up or delivery between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM Tuesdays through Saturdays.
We are continuously updating our menu and today are adding in desserts. Our Pastry department sweets are a member favorite as a birthday cake is a must and a sweet with your coffee may change your whole day!
Again, I can’t thank you enough for making the Club the place it is today.

Update 3.19: We're Here for You
This week’s soup is Cream of Potato with Watercress.
We want to take a moment to say how grateful we are for all of you. We received so many heartfelt emails from members yesterday and we can’t begin to express how thankful we are to have such a strong Club community during this time. So again, we thank you and we will continue to do our best to service you.
One way we will do this is with our “Curbside Menu.” Yesterday was our second night of offering this service, and our members are loving it! Chef Adam has already updated the menu so be sure to place your order by 7:00 PM tonight!
Just a reminder, all orders must be placed by 7:00 PM the day prior to pick up and emailed back to email@example.com. Curbside orders will be available for pick up between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM Tuesdays through Saturdays. We are also understand some of our members may not be able to pick up food, so we are happy to offer delivery accommodations. Please call the front desk between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM the day prior to delivery and a staff member will confirm a delivery time.

Madison Club Staff & Board of Directors
As a new week unfolds and new guidelines have been released by the CDC, we have decided to put the following measures in place to ensure the safety of our members and employees:
• Effective tomorrow (Tuesday, 3/17) the Club will be limiting its hours from 11 AM - 8 PM for lunch and dinner service Monday - Friday. Saturday, the Club will be open from 5 PM - 8 PM for dinner service. Since we will be operating with a very limited crew, we request that you please make reservations so that we can be prepared.
• Five East Lounge & Tap Room will be closed and all dining will be in Churchill's.
• We have removed tables from the dining room to ensure that we limit seating to 30 people at one time, and spaced tables to allow for adequate social distancing.
• All Club-hosted events scheduled in March have been cancelled and we will continue to update you on April events as soon as possible.
• Our kitchen is working to create more robust to-go offerings with either curb-side pick up or possible delivery options. A separate email will be sent with those details.
• If we are required to close our doors, our plan is to continue to offer our to-go menus, and stay in touch via social media and emails.
• With everything happening, we are exploring the opportunity to provide services online. These type of events are presentation style videos on topics that might be of interest to our members, such as cooking tips or cocktail demos. If you would like to be a presenter of a topic, please send us your information and presentation idea so we can organize a schedule.
We are asking that everyone follows the CDC guildelines and stay home if you are not feeling well or have travelled recently. We are committed to keeping our environment safe for all and appreciate your efforts.
Now more than ever, we need your support to remain a strong and viable business. For those members that have a minimum program with their membership, we will be flexible in not enforcing usual deadlines. We are doing our best to navigate through this and appreciate your understanding.

Information Regarding the Coronavirus
In light of the recent reports regarding the Coronavirus that has been spreading globally, there is an understandable concern for the health of our families, friends, and community. We would like to take the opportunity to communicate the steps the Madison Club is taking to ensure a safe, clean environment for our members.
Our Club is cleaned and sanitized daily as part of our normal course of business. Additionally, we have increased the frequency and extent of those sanitation measures as well as ensuring all of our soap dispensers are continuously filled. We're also ensuring our employees have the information they need to stay healthy or stay home if they aren't feeling well. All of these practices and our business decisions are informed by guidance from the CDC.
The safety of our members and employees is our number one priority, so we understand the need for flexibility at this time. Please reach out to us or contact Sales directly as soon as possible to discuss any special arrangements or considerations needed for your events due to possible illness or travel restrictions. Note that our meeting spaces can be equipped with AV equipment should you need to host your meeting remotely. Additionally, our chefs can provide food to-go for your home or business needs. We are here to provide whatever we can to support you at this time.
Thank you for your continued commitment to the Club and rest assured we are doing everything possible to make this a safe environment.
